This simple 4-week walking schedule helps you gradually increase your walking time while keeping track of your daily activity. Whether you're getting started with exercise or looking for a more consistent routine, this printable provides an easy way to plan your walks.
The worksheet includes a 4-week progressive walking plan with suggested walking times, days per week, pace, and weekly goals. It starts with shorter walks of 15–20 minutes and gradually builds toward walks of 30 minutes or more.
Follow a 4-Week Walking Schedule
The weekly walking plan is divided into four stages to help you build a consistent routine:
- Week 1 - Build the Habit: Walk 15–20 minutes a day, 3–4 days a week, at an easy pace.
- Week 2 - Add Distance: Increase to 20–25 minutes a day, 4 days a week, at an easy-to-steady pace.
- Week 3 - Add Brisk Intervals: Aim for 25–30 minutes a day, 4–5 days a week, at a steady pace.
- Week 4 - Hold the Routine: Work toward 30 minutes or more, 5 days a week, at a brisk pace.
Each week includes a suggested 5-minute easy warm-up before walking. Adjust the schedule to match your fitness level and comfort.
Track Your Daily Walking Progress
Below the weekly plan, you'll find a daily walking checklist with rows for Monday through Sunday. Record the date, minutes walked, and notes about your activity.
The checklist also includes boxes for tracking your 5-minute warm-up, completed walk, 5-minute stretching session, and water intake. A weekly reflection section gives you space to write about your progress, challenges, and goals for the following week.
